ParaTax Financial Services ("ParaTax", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at para.tax.
We collect: (a) Account information: name, email address, phone number, password; (b) Tax information: PAN, Aadhaar number, date of birth, address, financial details; (c) Documents: Form 16, bank statements, investment proofs, and other tax-related documents you upload; (d) Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, device information.
We use your information to: provide ITR filing and tax consultation services; verify your identity; communicate about your filings; send service updates and receipts; improve our platform; comply with legal obligations under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and related laws.
All documents and sensitive data (PAN, Aadhaar) are stored with AES-256 encryption in Zoho Catalyst Stratus cloud storage. Sensitive identifiers like PAN and Aadhaar are never logged in server logs or debugging outputs. Access to your data is restricted to authorized CA team members and is protected by role-based access controls.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with: (a) Our CA team for filing purposes; (b) Zoho Corporation for cloud hosting and payments; (c) Income Tax Department as required for filing; (d) Law enforcement when required by law. We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements); withdraw consent for marketing communications. Contact us at support@para.tax to exercise these rights.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for 7 years after account closure as required by Indian tax laws. Documents may be deleted on request after the retention period.
ParaTax is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
